Clear Creek LOMR
A Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) will be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that modifies the floodplain and floodway zones in the Clear Creek Watershed. The locations of the map change are along Clear Creek and the Prison Hill drainage. The public is welcome to view and comment on the preliminary flood maps. The preliminary flood maps are shown below and are available for download.
Comments will be accepted until the beginning of October. If you have comments, please send them by email to stormwaterhotline@jiancai0312.com.
These maps can be downloaded here.
The following map shows the modifications that were made from the previous floodplain mapping. Green shows a decrease in Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). Orange shows an increase in SFHA and blue is unchanged from the previous map.

A Google Earth overlay file showing the increase, decrease, and unchanged areas is also available to you. You can view it in Google Earth by following the steps below.
- You must have Google Earth installed on your computer. If you do, go to the next step; if not, you may download it here: http://earth.google.com/
- Once you have Google Earth installed and open, download the file by clicking this link.
- Once downloaded, double click on the KMZ file; this will open the overlay in Google Earth.
- When you exit Google Earth you’ll be asked if you want to save or discard the overlay; be sure to save it. Then the information will remain attached to Google Earth and not require any further action.
Information about the system requirements needed for your computer to run the software is available through http://earth.google.com/support. A user guide is available at http://earth.google.com/userguide.
